To find Marks obtained of total marks when percentage of total Marks is given (WP-12: Percentage %)

Total marks of an examination is 850 and a candidate gets 80% marks then find the marks obtained by the candidate.

Given:

Total marks = 850 marks

Percentage of marks obtain in English = 80%

To Find:

Candidate Obtained Marks = ?

Solution:

As given

Candidate got marks in Examination = 80 % of 850 marks 

Candidate got marks in Examination = `\frac{80}{100}` ｘ850 marks

by simplifying we get

Candidate got marks in Examination = 680 marks 

 So, candidate got 680 marks out of 850 marks.
