If 94% of a number is 1175 then find the number.

or

94% of what number is 1175 ?

(Ans. 1250)

Solution:

Let the number is X

then as given

94% of  X = 1175

`\frac {94}{100}` ｘ X  = 1175

or

X  = `\frac {100}{94}` ｘ 1175

X  = 1250 -----------Ans.
