To find the sale price of coat when discount percentage and marked price are known (WP-11 Percentage %)

The price of a coat is Rs. 275. If 15% discount is given by shopkeeper then find the sale price.  (Ans. Rs. 233.75)

Given Data:

Marked Price of the Coat= Rs. 275

Discount  = 15 % 

To Find:

Sale Price = ?

Solution:

Price (marked) of the shoes = Rs. 275

15% Discount on Rs. 275 =  `\frac {15}{100}` ｘ Rs. 275

Discount = Rs. 41.25

Now

Sale Price = Marked price - discount

Sale Price = Rs. 275 - Rs. 41.25

Sale Price = Rs. 233.75  ------------Ans.
